My Firm Applied for Pioneers of Prosperity and Received a Confirmation Email, but has Not Heard Anything Yet.  Should I Contact Someone?
No. Pioneers of Prosperity will contact applicants selected as quarter-finalists to fill out a second, more in-depth survey within four weeks of the application deadline. Unfortunately, due to the volume of applications received, we cannot personally follow up with each applicant. The main means of communication is the website. No. Only applications received on or before the deadlines will be accepted. Please see Deadlines for more information and please consider applying next year!  Back to top

No. Only firms headquartered in the target countries can apply. Please see Geographic Focus for a list of target countries. Back to top

No, but you can encourage the SME to apply. Back to top

I Manage a Not-for-Profit Entity, But We Sell Products or Services Similar to a Firm. Can I Apply?
No. Pioneers of Prosperity is for for-profit entities only. Please review the Eligibility Requirements for more information. Back to top

I Manage a Holding Company; Should I Apply on Behalf of the Entire Company or One Subsidiary?
That is up to you. Please review the Eligibility Requirements to determine if your company or its subsidiaries meet the Awards criteria. Apply in whichever way you think will best represent your firm. Back to top

I Don't Have All the Information Requested in the Application. Can I Still Apply?
Yes. Please try to fill out everything you can, and estimate numbers to the best of your knowledge where necessary. If you don't know something, leave it blank. However, comprehensive applications stand a better chance of being selected! Back to top

Can Multiple People Contribute to an Application?
Multiple people can contribute to the application, but the application must be approved by the CEO or equivalent. Back to top

Can I Apply More Than Once?
Firms may only apply once per year, winners are not eligible to reapply. If you manage more than one firm, you can apply on behalf of each firm. Back to top

Who Can Apply for the Awards?
Small and medium-sized, for-profit firms who are based in target countries, may apply for the awards. Please review the Eligibility Requirements to determine if you qualify. Back to top

Our company Doesn't Have Computers / Access to the Internet, Can I Send My Application in the Mail or Fax it to You?
It is strongly recommended that applications be completed through this website. Because of the volume of applications received, we are unable to guarantee the processing of applications that are not submitted through the website. No. All decisions are final. Back to top

How Will Winners Be Selected?
Pioneers of Prosperity will select quarter-finalists, semi-finalists and finalists based on the firms' ability to meet the Awards Selection Criteria.  Finalists and winners will be chosen by an independent panel of judges.  Please view the Selection Process for more information.  Back to top

Is the Awards Ceremony Open to the Public?

Where Will the Awards Ceremony Be Held?
The awards ceremony will be held in one of the host countries within the competition region.  (i.e. Africa, Caribbean and Central America). Please stay tuned for information on where each ceremony will be held for 2009.
